Hi all, need some career advice!

I'm currently in audit and want to enter into consulting. I came to know that the starting roles are Analyst roles.
To begin my career, should I look into Analyst roles only in consultancy firms, or is it fine if I take up such roles in other companies for the experience?

I did my Bachelors in Commerce, and I am about to complete ACCA. I have only 1 year of experience in audit in KPMG Global Services.

What is the best way to start your ACCA journey as an associate ? ( knowing i have the first 3 exams as exemptions)

ACCA or CFA for advisory field/ deal/ financial analyst ? Which one is easier ? And if ACCA was chosen will it still help in the above mentioned fields ?

So, I've been thinking alot and did quite some research but would really love some insight (Accounting vs Fund Accountant)
As a newbie to accounting (completed my graduation and am currently halfway through ACCA), I've worked 3 years in accounting and account operations (AR, AP, Reconciliations, accruals, prepayments etc) and wanted to check out the other side of the coin in Finance.

I recently accepted an offer for Senior Associate at PwC US, and since I'm an international hire, I'll have to opt for CPA. I'm already an ACCA Member and almost done with my ACA qualification. So if anyone here has studied for both CPA and ACCA/ACA, I was hoping to get some insight on how difficult and different CPA is from ACCA/ACA other than the minimum 75% passing score?

Can anyone please help with a FDD referral to any Big4 in Canada? I am an ACCA member and plan to join as a Senior Associate.

Hi all, need some advice. I’ve got over 12years banking experience. 11 years in Retail/ Personal banking and Commercial Banking roles and most recently wholesale payments. All as Relationship Manager. I’m also a Chartered accountant-FCCA and CPA, currently studying for Level 3 CFA. Want to make a career move from Sales/ Relationship Mgt to either Finance or Investment Banking. Just wondering which is the easiest based on my background. I’m based in Toronto.

9 YOE in audit in 3 countries… but no US CPA (I have ACCA). What are the chances of landing a big 4 audit stint in the US (Manager above)? I’m happy to take Senior if it pays well but doubt that.

By when can I expect promotion to senior and what is the max salary for senior consultant ?

Or I should try for switch?

I recently interviewed at PwC US (Tier 1) and got an offer for a $92K base salary + a $15K signing bonus. I'm an international hire with a bachelor's and an ACA & ACCA certification both to be completed in the next 2-3 months + 4 YOE. I accepted the offer but later it felt like I got a low offer so I asked the recruiter to reconsider my base salary, if possible. So the recruiter agreed and will be coming back this week with a revised offer. I'm not sure how much I can negotiate after accepting.

Hii everything, Right now i am working as a functional consultant for Microsoft F&O (Accounts module's)and i have also 2 year experience as accountant and i am graduate in BAF and thinking to so ACCA so can anyone suggest me it's is correct for me or i have to go for pure functional consultant?

I know it is not as sought after as an MBA or direct experience, but are many here ACA/ACCA qualified and currently in management consulting? If so, has it facilitated your career or slowed you down? I feel half the content is helpful, half is wasted effort.

What is the approximate expected salary range for someone who is working for a big four in U.K, Ireland and Netherlands, assuming this candidate had 2+ years of work experience in EY, currently a senior and who is ACCA qualified.

I have a question would love a honest answer I am ACCA student and went for a job interview. The person who was conducting interview found out I am ACCA and he was a ICAI member. Throughout the interview i felt he was looking down on me. I recently talked about this with a friend and he said generally ICAI and ICAP accounting members dont give ACCA students and important. Is this true?

Hey I am Accounting student specifically ACCA student. I am looking for guidance or any advice basically on getting a internship. The thing I have noticed having friends and teachers help you a lot in building connections and finding a internship. I have been studying by myself for ACCA EXAMS and clearing them i have completed 8/13. I want some tips regarding how I can network and basically stand out at all. I have been a private student since school so would appreciate some guidance in this.
