I’d imagine a CFA is more valuable in the M&A space
Are you already ACCA or CPA qualified? And are you asking for a career post-FDD?
Because, I would dare say it’s practically expected in FDD (although seems some firms aren’t as strict in requiring it).
In terms of consulting as a whole, I’m sure it can be useful in some niche circumstances, but practically speaking it probably looks nice but is largely irrelevant in terms of actual workflow. I doubt I even use even half of what I had to learn/review for the CPA exam and I’m in FDD.
I'm about to finish ACCA. When looking at jobs didn't find it to have any value or a requirement. So was curious if i made a mistake in trying to complete it. I currently work in the financial due diligence space.
