What's the difference between project manager vs product manager vs program manager. Growth pay, opportunities, long term career progression. Which is better and why.

Currently a PMP certified project manager in Canadian Telco and exploring external growth opportunities to maximize compensation. Don't have a cs background. Would love insights.

I am a PMP certified project manager (working in non technical work), early 30s in Canadian telecom. Getting paid peanuts. Don't have a cs background and am exploring better paying external opportunities. Wondering what kind of roles I can look at?

I notice lots of interest in product management and less so in program management. I also notice interest in tech industry (like faang) as opposed to consulting or industry.

Thinking about getting PMP or Agile certification. Anyone care to provide insight on these and which one would be better (or to start first)? TIA

Any Scrum masters on H1B visa working full time?
It’s saddening to see companies backing out when you tell them you are on a work visa.

Total YOE: 5.2 years (includes 2.8 years for SAFe Scrum master (current), 9 months of Junior Java developer and 1.10 years of BA/Customer service lead experience).

I am working on getting my PMI-ACP and PMP Certs soon so I would eventually pivot but for now I am looking for a Scrum master position.

And please no negative comment about the SM role.

I've 5 years of experience as a techno-functional Business Analyst. For career progression (including financial growth) I was thinking to look for PMI certification (CAPM/PMP/PRINCE2) but as seeing people in data science-related fields making big money in less experience (compared to BA or other fields) was also thinking to look for technical data analyst or similar jobs. So if keeping money as a preference between both the career fields which field would you suggest should a person go for?

Seeking advice..
I was a consultant at Deloitte and now work as a Sr Mgr of implementations for a Saas company in healthcare.
I currently make $120k base with ~20k bonus based on performance. I have an MBA, PMP, 6 YOE and would like to break into the $200k upward salary range.
What skills can I learn to achieve this in the next couple of months? Or are there specific roles I should be targeting in the job market?

I recently became PMP certified and am working as a Project Coordinator on a large ERP project. I’ve been in the position for 2 months, enjoy the work, and would like more responsibility and work from home. The director made an inappropriate (sexual) comment; it was so inappropriate that I don’t want to work with the company and am looking for a new opportunity. I would like to get into IT, but I don’t have a speciality. What are tech companies looking for in a Project/Product Manager?

Which change management certification is the best? CCMP? Is that less training than PMP certification?

Have some downtime the next few weeks looking to take advantage of some certifications paid for through by job. Which ones would be worth taking a look at? Ultimate goals are Tech/PM/Marketing. Current background is Tech M&A. Already have CSM, not enough experience for PMP.

Is PMP still worth going for? I have heard mixed things and would love your advice. I hear folks saying spend your time learning more about Cloud, Agile, SAFe, etc. I am more on the technical team lead side.

Does taking expensive certifications like PMP real help in your career? Will there be considerable difference in your pay if you're certified?

If you have some time look into taking some Coursera classes. I applied for some financial aid after writing them an essay and now i get to get a project management certification from Google for free! I know it isn't the PMP but it's a start for me to transition, also they have tons of other courses there too
