I have a strong background in copywriting, interpretation, and content creation. My background centers on cultural connections, DEI, and science communication. I’ve been diversifying my skill set through a project management position but would love to return to a creative/writing role. I’m also experienced in digital asset management. @google Industry Lead Role what is the average pay/grade? 7-8 years experience?

I’m one of the few non white males at my small agency. I gave them my two weeks notice and then the CEO starts setting up chats with other CDs he knows, all people that look like him. So much for all the DEI talk, workshops, and training. At the end of the day, equitable hiring practices go out the door for the bigger roles and people are brought through the back door.

I feel burnt out, and frustrated. I’m interviewing for other places, and feel checked out in my current role. I’m still performing, but am spacing. I am taking a few days off. I hope that helps.

I'm a current AC at my agency but looking to switch departments. I'm torn between applying to the SEM specialist role vs the social media specialist role. I'm leaning more towards SEM, but at this point I'm looking to choose whichever has the best earning potential down the road. Anybody have some pros and cons for both?

Curious thought. For peeps with international awards like a Lion, Lotus or a Pencil, how much did the award boost your career (position, salary, benefits)? I find myself comparing my worth vs. other creatives who have big awards under their belt. I have some local ones but it took a lot of initiative. I'm going for a role for Account Director and have gone through the interviews with the head of accounts, BD as well as the ECD's. I received the following email at the end of the day:

"You are one of two candidates in the final round.

One thing we haven’t spoken about are your salary expectations. Could you have a think and let me know early next week as well as your employment status (residency permit)."

What would be the best way to answer this response? Appreciate the help

I've been in ad tech now for 7+ years for an established global company in the mobile ad space. I concept, create, and develop rich media ad experiences for a range of Fortune 100 brands companies. I've hit a fork in the road where I know I need to make a move. I want to get back to the trenches of the creative agencies. I truly love this industry which I have a lot passion and respect for. If you’re a senior/ director level, would you consider a role with only a 2 week vacation policy?

I have an offer that’s a decent bump in pay (not amazing, but something that’s making me consider it) but they only have a 2 week vacation policy and will not budge on anything. I currently work for a place with unlimited pto and last year was so hectic that I only used 4 days. I can’t imagine going full throttle into a new role without taking a break in the next two months. Not sure what to do.
