What’s a fair monthly rate to pay someone to moonlight running paid search campaigns for you? No real reporting just activating and optimizing. I have a small business and I’m curious what a general range would be. Same with hiring a paid social person. Any ranges on that? All feedback is appreciated.

New role: Was given a different account than to the one interviewed for, not loving the account (pharma), work is tedious and boring, not conceptually exciting. Should I stick around or try to jump ship, while I can still leave this off my resume?

Interviewing for an AMD position offering $30k more than I’m currently making (at the low end of the salary range provided). I like my team a lot but it’s hard to not feel resentful of the lower pay when I’ve been doing the work of multiple people during staffing shortages.

After interviewing for an ACD position, this company has given me real client work to both do and review as a test. It is a lot of work, and they previously asked me to freelance for them. It feel like they are just trying to get some work for free?
Does anyone else think this is super shady? And ideas on how to approach this situation?

I know why now. It’s simply karma. Hirers aren’t replying to me because when I was in a position to hire years ago, I did a crap job of replying, explaining hiring process/timeline, and follow through. I apologize for that. Now, if the universe would just give me a second chance, and a hirer would reply to my enquiry, I’ll be grateful and know better next time I’m in charge. I promise!

Seeking Advice:

After much thought, I haven chosen to resign from my position due to lack of adequate support and poor leadership, both of which have taken huge tolls on my mental health.

When constructing my resignation letter, should I mention the negative impact on my mental health, or keep the letter high level that simply states the fact that I am resigning? Thoughts?

I’m currently a TikTok media buyer and although the interest of TikTok ads grows (according to google trends) I don’t see many agencies or companies hiring for the role. I send emails, LinkedIn messages daily and haven’t really had my big break yet. For context I am about to start working as an analyst at OMD but am trying to get a sense of how a transition like that might look 2-4 years down the line. Has anyone ever encountered a moment when your set of ideas just don’t make the cut because you’re not heavily influenced by the brand or the culture and tradition that the brand relates to? I find myself having a difficult time with ideating for deeply-rooted local brands but for regional and international clients, my ideas work really well. Asking as I was offered an ACD position, won’t be handling any local account but worried if I take it and a local account does fall into my lap, then IDK.

Interviewing for a new role. Ideally I’d like the senior title, but the place I just interviewed at (even though the description is 5+ years and would pay sr. Salary) would have the copywriter role. Does the title even matter honestly?

Am I dumb for rejecting a marketing role (not what I wanted to do responsibilities wise) at BCGDV (Boston Consulting Group) & instead moving into another agency for a role that fit my goals? TBF, BCGDV was lowballing me like crazy & refused to budge on salary, whereas agency instantly met my desired salary.

How is the Strategy team at Vayner? I saw that they’ve hired/been hiring a lot of strategists from solid traditional ad agencies, so have tides changed? They’re highballing me a lot for a role…

Vent: I despise the hiring process. I went through rounds of interviews that went great. Got great reviews. Didn’t get the job. I know that’s how it goes sometimes but now I feel stuck in the mud and my ego is blown.
