My bank makes you fill out a form if you want to work in the office for each individual day. It’s largely empty from what I hear. What are the risks if I were to go in and “borrow” an office chair for my new apt? How about a monitor?

I keep seeing posts that associates at mid-size/biglaw firms don’t get given the opportunity to go to court. Is this true across most larger firms, even if you lateral with some experience?

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

My company has grown from 50 to 200, and my impact as an HR leader needs to grow from IC activities (recruiter, hr ops person) to.....hr leader. Any tips on doing that (and doing it well?)

Just here to say I’m so thankful we have this safe space. My temp contract has been extended. I’m relieved to be able to pay the bills, but after giving 70-80 shots a day, I literally dream about giving vaccines almost every night! Struggling to keep positive about finding a new permanent job - I was laid off at the end of April, have applied to over 60 jobs, had 6 interviews, and no offers. I put a deposit down on a Rolex for my wife last November with my local dealer. Nice guy and no reason to doubt it as I underwent here were a lot of delays with Rolex. He initially said they’d expect it in 3-4 months and has since said they’re working to fulfill all orders by end of June. Is this ridiculous or sound about right?

We started back in August in distance learning mode, core subjects only. So no STEM classes. One of our 8th grade teachers was out on maternity leave, so I was asked to take that spot for the first semester. I was a long time 5th grade teacher, so not a difficult adjustment, except for learning new to me digital curriculum.

I have 2 STEM classes for the second quarter. Still online, so my focus is on coding.

Wondering what other STEM teachers are doing online?
