With Google, Facebook and Amazon giving WFH liberty until the latter part of this year.. what do you think consulting companies’ next steps look like?

I’ve read in news that companies like Google and amazon are cancelling domestic travels over Corona virus fears. Should we travel to work and risk our lives or stay home and work remote?

How is Google reacting to coronavirus? Starting tomorrow and renting a room without kitchen, worried they’ll make me work remote as I was depending on campus for food, laundry, etc.

Why do we have to go to the client site every week? Can’t we just work from home and go maybe every other week? Meetings can be held on the phone, we can share our screen on Google Hangouts, etc.
