Although the policy relates to me, the name of the policyholder is my dad and I would like to change it to me but keep the same beneficiaries. Is it possible to transfer from him to me? I’ve been depressed for years now and this past week I lost a dog I’ve had for 15 years; he was one of the only bright spots in my life and I’ve just found it so hard to focus or motivate myself on anything after this. I genuinely feel like I’m at rock bottom, Idk if I’m crazy to feel that way bc of a dog but I used to be able to control this and put up a front but now my depression and anxiety are starting to leak into my work conversations completely unintentionally, I wish this would stop :(

I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.

HR folks — what feedback have you obscured by offering that line instead?

Thoughts on Ogletree as an associate? Salary/day to day life

We are renovating a condo and the previous owner had two Crane toilets (not sure how old, but functioning although seals are old according to our contractor). Back outlet flour mount ones are the only options for the building, and one toilet can cost $300-$500.

We are redoing all the bathroom tiles and walls and debating what we should do with the two toilets. Would resealing the toilets extend the use life? Or should we just replace the toilets? Any other recommendations? TIA!!

Do I need to buy a car if I get a job with Slalom consulting?

I paid off all my debt (mostly student loans) earlier this year and haven’t changed my spending or lifestyle and the savings have been piling up. It’s getting addicting just watching it jump up after every paycheck. Feels amazing to no longer be in crippling debt and finally move on with my life.

I’ll go first, I have 5 YOE, currently am a technical consultant, 110k with a up to 5k bonus per quarter based on MBOs.
