Best consulting firms with best WLB? Do they exist? Young professional starting to think about where I'd like to work hard to end up in the next 5-10 years.

I have been working remotely since covid getting nothing but positive reviews. My company is not remote friendly and is now telling me I have to return to the office or I lose my job. I just found out a co-worker had a remote position created for them, without a job posting, without an interview and without the experience required (normally a license or certification would be mandatory). I understand life isn’t fair but is there an ethical problem with this?

Can you focus on PMI/SMO work only at EY-P?

There is a role in EY-P that I'm interested in but I was hoping to see it for C level and they're only posting for SA. Is there a chance they would take someone in that area at a higher level? What is the comp for SA with an MBA and 1.5YOE?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

Recently got back from a trip to SE Asia. My main takeaway: I noticed so many people - with so little - still so happy. What do they know that we don't?

Strategy consulting folks - please help me understand by answering these questions that you may come across from time to time:

1. what is strategy consulting, and

2. how do you actually define whether strategy consultant is competent or not from client POV (ie, foundational knowledge, soft skills, etc.)

3. what are considered foundational consultant toolkit vs experienced consultant toolkit?

I have joined Nagarro almost a year now as a senior architect. However, I see lot of issues here. The company is great so far as employee friendliness is concerned. It may be rated as the top most company in that regard and that is why attrition is well within control. However, there are issues:

1. Project Allocation - allocated to projects without fitment with the role or skills. No internal job portal

2. Lots of seniors in bench for long time

3. No way to give company feedback

I work through a contractor, and was hired 2yrs ago to be a Systems Test Engineer II. They decided last minute to make me a Software Content Manager, but kept my title as is since it was supposed to be a 6mo rotation. I’m still an SCM, and am taking on leadership roles in the group. How do I ask for a title change and pay increase to reflect what I actually do? Do I ask my contract house, or my NASA mgmt? Should I ask to make the pay retroactive since I was hired to do one thing, but do another?
