Is anyone else having trouble just BEING back at the office… for a full day? Even if it’s hybrid. It’s like driving me insane just sitting here in silence and making small talk from 9-5:30. I feel so trapped.

I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. Took 2 years off and built a health & wellness coaching platform for my wife (medical provider). Then, the last 2.5 yrs, have been a top producer in Saas sales as a senior account executive. I’ve been told I would make a great COO someday and I’m ready to take the next step into leadership. Who/what should I be targeting next?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

Is it worth it to take a small paycut to get the title of AE? I have the opportunity to move into an AE role at 2 new startups but both would be about a 20% pay cut from what I expect to make this year. Is it worth it to take the jump and get the job title?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

I have been on a planned personal sabbatical this year pursuing personal interests. Now I’m ready to go back to work. I will have next week the second interview with an exec recruiter for a company for a Director level position reporting to the COO of the company. In addition to having relevant experience and accomplishments handy, I would appreciate any pointers for having a good interview at this level.

Hi guys. How mych does it usually take to get an offer after last interview in EY? My external recruiter called me and said that he received a very good feedback on me and they are interested but he is not sure about time frame as its a Christmas time and they need to approve with commercial etc so he is not sure that they will proceed before Christmas. I have 7 YOE and applied for a position that is L4. I feel as if I’m overqualified for the position, but the Recruiter told me that when they say L4, they are actually looking for someone with 6+ years of experience. Is this true? I feel like I should be looking at L5 with my experience
