New to mortgage refinance, is it normal to have a closing cost of $4000? Refinancing $75k at interest rate of 3.875% with Quicken Loans.
I'm close to closing a refinance loan with Quicken Loans. The rate lock in date lapsed and they automatically extended it. Is that typical? Should I be happy or try to get a better rate? Currently…
Momoa, being who he is at home, except that’s not who/what he really is. Confused by Quicken Loans. Germs of ideas that don’t get really thought through. Celebs can’t save everything.
What does Sales Enablement mean to you? Does anyone here work in some type of Sales Enablement roll currently?
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
What are your tips and tricks, go-to sites, etc. to stay up to date on the latest HR legal and compliance information?
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
What HR ticketing system do you use and what important aspects did you consider when looking? Our company is looking into ticketing systems and this will be our first time looking. Right now I’ve seen Zendesk, Workday and Happy Fox. Has anyone sued those before?
Does anyone have any recommendations for a years of service awards vendor? We are looking to move to an online catalog where our employees can pick the gift they want. Thanks in advance!

I’m curious if anyone knows of any NY or NYC laws around requirements for an employer to employ a certain percentage of underrepresented minority groups? Would greatly appreciate any guidance here!
With us still living in a remote environment and employee appreciation month coming up on October - interested in what you are thinking of doing? Always harder when we can’t all physically be together. Many thanks
If firms go exclusively remote, I have zero reason to remain living near “home office”. Likelihood we’ll shift to that model, and can live wherever?
I believe there are good sales people and bad sales people. I also believe there are great sales people with shit territories, and shit sales people with great territories. Agree or disagree and why?
What are your rules for hiring relatives ? Can they have the same manager but not have reporting to each other ?
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
Currently a Senior Con at Capgemini Invent. Are most MBB experienced hires coming out of an MBA program? I’m happy to begin as an analyst/ associate.
I am 27 years old. I have 5 years of work experience in consulting. I feel like my skills and compensation are starting to stagnate. What can I do to pick up the pace & advance in my career?
I didn’t get asked if I wanted my welcome gift (points or $10 credit for food) upon arrival. I am staying at a Marriott. There is some kind of promise that if they don’t ask, you get a reward right?
Not to brag, but just crossed 200k annual comp with my raise and bonus this year. Still living in NYC, paying 2k a month in MBA loans, and 1k to support patents, but now feel a little more secure. 😀

Got my nose pierced when I was in 10th grade (loved that all the women in my fam / culture had one). Always wore a thin nose ring that hugged my skin and was small, but switched to a tiny stud when --
You bust your ass winning multiple accounts and you’re supposed to be up for a title and compensation review after 18 months. It’s actually 30 months, and your increase is only 7%. What do you do?
My husband works in healthcare and dedicates 7 days a week at the front line. I honestly think he chose the wrong profession but I’m proud of him. I realized how lucky we are in Accounting WFH.
1st year Analyst here. Should I tell HR/Payables that they added an extra 0 to my salary/paycheck and that I’m receiving $20,000 biweekly paychecks instead of $2,000?
Anyone know if any of the health insurance plans allow you to have non-dependent parents on your plan?
Those with nose ring piercings - how do your team and client respond initially? Are you ever perceived as not competent or unprofessional? Also, how annoying was taking care of the piercing at first?
