You don’t, you just stay at work longer
Why do you think I’m asking this question lolololol
Moved into a nice apartment complex in the heart of the city, started to hang out at the nearby bars, gyms and rec sports. Slowly turned 1 friend into two into a social circle that feels like home. Was a lot of time and luck to it, but you have ti help it build itself over time
Met all of my friends at work
Transferred to follow my husband several years before we got engaged. Met most of our friends through work since the majority of our coworkers are young. Also joined things like college / sorority / fraternity alumni groups and met some great people.
I moved into a luxury apartment building that was right near the bars. Met a lot of friends in the building Bc it had a basketball court and a gym. Met their friends as I was new to the city and eventually was hanging out with a lot of different groups. It can be hard though. I was lonely my first 2 months there. Oh- I also have a dog so whenever I walked her I’d strike up conversations with people
Follow your hobbies, so at least you’ll know you have one thing in common. Examples- Join a tennis league, take a cooking class, volunteer at a pet shelter, take a yoga class)
Hobbies. Join groups.
Friends of sig other.
Work friends for the most part. My SO and I started looking at a bunch of groups on “meetup”... yet to go to anything lol but it seems helpful
College alumni network was huge for me.
