At my company we are going fully remote and we are trying to determine what “remote working best practices” we can enable for our employees.

I’m coming to you all today to ask what has worked best for you that has allowed work to be more seamless?

For example we have toyed around with the idea of “no zoom meetings unless absolutely necessary. Otherwise all communication is to take place over email/Instant Message.

I am a Management Information Systems grad student from University of Memphis, with a cumulative experience of 5 years ( 2years - Quality Data Analyst, 3years - Human Resource Co-Ordinator). Do you think tech companies are working together politically?

Which companies have best WLB, least stressed DS/DA roles? I’ve been suffering from some immunology issues and stress from work would worsen it, therefore I want to move to a company/role with good benefit (esp. healthcare) and great WLB (little chance of PIP, etc). Doesn’t have to be high-paying, as long as it can support my life (single) and long-term medical cost. Thanks in advance.

I am going through a background verification with HireRight for Microsoft. I put as job titles the ones I also put on my resume, which are matching my real duties and activities. However, apart from my last employer, my past internal employers have really weird internal titles that say nothing about my qualifications and skills. Will this cause any issue and push Microsoft to rescind my offer?

Can someone tell me if a HRBP III is more senior level than a HRBP I? I’ve never really dealt with those titles so I am a little confused!

I have a new prospect. Small business owner that wants to start a 401k for himself and his employees. Who would be the top 2-3 organizations I contact, and what questions should I ask the providers?

Has anyone went from saas to benefit consulting? How was that transition? Was it worth it? I hear in benefits you get a book with recurring revenue.

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.

Curious to know what other firm's bonus structures are, particularly those with billable requirements of 1900 and below. Trying to understand what the norm is and figure out if associates at my firm are getting screwed. thanks

Why do some people get laid off and others not? Is it always utilization? Do people typically know they're at risk before it gets to that point?

So, what happens if you miss your utilization/billable hour target by like 70-150 hours? Tons of "impactful" PRD work

Hey everyone! I hope y’all are having a good weekend! Quick question. PSM 1 or CSM? I’m having a hard time deciding between which exam/course to take. I’m in my first year out of undergrad and looking into getting some certs to help me advance in my career.

I am currently waiting for the job offer for a consulting firm but I was told it could take several months. Between now and then, I have plenty of time for myself. What should I be doing to prepare myself for the new job? Any recommendations for newsletter/industry reports/books/ coursea courses? Thank you all!

Protocol for responding (or not) to unsolicited emails from recruiters to your work email? In other words, is it acceptable to just ignore without a response? Or do you prefer to keep the line open with a brief “thanks for thinking of me, I am not interested at this time but hope we can collaborate in the future.”

Anyone else getting guilt tripped after putting in their 2 weeks notice? My partner keeps talking about how our team was already drowning in work and now the other associates are going to have to take on my cases too. I do feel bad for them, but this opportunity with my new firm was too good to pass up! I'm trying my best to make sure all my cases can be transitioned smoothly, but that's all I can do 🤷‍♀️

Networking: I’m trying to build a network with MBB employees but I’m searching for roles in another country where I’ve got minimal school connections. Should I start by building a network in my home country and ask them if they can put me in touch with someone in my target location? Or just go straight to people in my intended location with cold requests/emails? Thoughts and views welcome!

Does anyone else find it absolutely hysterical that people group MBB/FAANG/PE/VC for the prestige-oriented folks and they never include BB IB 🤣
