I have covid and my work laptop broke so I can’t WFH. I hate my life.

Got two offers: one from a V100 firm that is essentially the best in the practice area that I’m in. The other is a mid-sized that is offering approximately 33% more in base comp, but don’t have much of a rep in my practice area. Which should I take? What else should I consider?

I have a lot of mindless closing binder assembly today so I’ve been watching Restrepo and Korengal in the background. It.... really puts things in perspective. I feel like such a baby for complaining about long hours or stressing over emails.

Procedural question. I represent a hospital. Codefendant is a company that manufactures breast implants. Case was venued in NY state Supreme Court. Manufacturer defendant transferred case to MDL (we hadn’t answered yet). Plaintiff gave me stip of discontinuance with prejudice but now since case was removed I am unsure how to proceed. Do I file the stip in state court still? Does MDL have jurisdiction over the hospital? Can a hospital even be part of a MDL lawsuit? Very confused! Thank you!!!

I am in the process of finishing up my MBA but considering also getting my SPHR or PHR cert. Is it even worth it or a waste of time and money?

Question: In Maryland, a limited liability S Corp shareholder can’t be sued individually but can they individually sue someone else on behalf of the corp? Or does an attorney for the Corp have to be the one to file suit? What abt in small claims court where lawyers aren’t even required?

Pro tip I wish I received: when lateraling back up your phone before leaving so you don’t lose it’s contents when your previous firm remote-factory resets the device.

Advice on taking the SHRM-SCP exam? I’m taking the exam tomorrow and not feeling as prepared as I should. Who has taken the SCP exam? How difficult did you find it?

When giving your resignation notice, do you ASK to work for more days? Anyone here been told to quit right there and then? I’m giving a 20 days’ notice given the holidays instead of the typical 2 weeks
