Hey fishes
A friend of mine has recently received an offer from Mastek. His only(primary) concern before joining any organization is the job security that comes with it. I would therefore like to know to what extent is one's job secure at Mastek? Thanks in advance...

Porn (star). It's fun, good exercise and creates great bonding opportunities with your colleagues. Also great money if you can start a franchise.
Best way to educate yourself is to watch and learn. Lot of watching and learning. A lot.
Are you willing to take a 50% pay cut with an equity or variable upside risk? The only real option are startups through somebody trustworthy in your network.
Most jobs outside of consulting won’t pay what a 5th or 6th year partner gets. At this point the ones that do would have little use for us (IB, VC/PE, Law, Big Tech) vs. when we were managers or directors and still fungible.
I was once like you, very bored and very lazy - then I discovered the church of Scientology and haven’t looked back! 🛸
Thanks Tom
Did I write this ? 🤔
lol same
Please post when you find out. I have looked at the same and found the following: pretty much zero chance of getting any even vaguely similar comp in the spaces you are talking about. For me that is fine as it’s between retirement or something fun. The other hard things is startups want people with experience “doing” and correct or not, consultants are not seen as having the right experience. Similar to Board work, generally look askance at consultants.
That isn’t to say they aren’t out there, but it’s likely to be a labor of love with some plucky kids that don’t have anything past Angel and maybe something comes of it, rather than jump right into a C-suite of a PE/VC backed later round scale play.
This is me 🙋🏽♀️
How are your numbers in the last 2 years?
5 years is around the time new leadership opportunities present themselves. It’s not always the same job.
+1
I see a new firm developing
Yeah I feel there are not as many as in the past with much more scrutiny on non revenue generating partners
Same!
So many replies and not one suggesting something helpful. Typical consultants, lol!
But seriously fellas, any thoughts helpful.
PS: My numbers have been decent 10-15M+ , but tired of the grind and trying to sell the same old stuff in a new shiny wrapper.
Cool of you to think all partners are fellas 🙄
In the same position with respect to tenure as a partner and have an opportunity to exit to a client at the same gross comp or better split between base, bonus and equity at a very established company - would you do it?
Whatever you do, think about the actual value it brings to the world.
