3 years consultant at big4 - wanting to pivot offerings but finding that slightly challenging. Biggest interest is product management, but interviewing for strategy and ops senior assoc role at (uber, DoorDash, Lyft) company. Pay increase is there. What are thoughts is it more operations that strategy and would it make me stuck? Or good to take this and pivot to product after and exit consulting now?

Some employees received a retention bonus/contract recently. Makes me feel they aren't going to do anything else to keep up with the market inflation, or attempt to retain the rest of the employees. Good time to exit or pray they do a market correction with the year end hikes?

When a role says “Remote, LOCATION” on the job description, must you live in that LOCATION and work remotely or does it mean that your home office will be that LOCATION?

With my background, how do I break into a finance or accounting role? What positions do I apply for? I would like to make at least 45-50k a year min starting if possible.

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. Has anyone just taken a break from work without anything lined up? Every offer I’ve gotten wants me to start in a month and with 2 weeks notice that leaves me only 2 weeks to recharge.
