Had an interview last week. Recruiter (who is a recruiter for the firm itself as I applied directly) emailed me today asking how I thought the interviews went. Does this mean anything? Wouldn’t a recruiter only reach out to schedule another round of interviews or to reject you? Haven’t heard back since replying this morning.

Have an interview with a company I really want to work for tomorrow. My last job I was laid off b/c of an acquisition&recently accepted a job at a diff company b/c I couldnt afford not to. I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role and after speaking with the hiring manger I’m being asked to do a written assignment. The assignment is creating 4 separate strategies around different areas. This will take quite a bit of work. 1-2 strategies seems reasonable but 4 seems like a lot. I asked the recruiter how in depth they are expecting me to to go and she said “as much as I’d like to. It’s up to me and what I see fit.” Does this ask seem reasonable? Have others experienced this?

PhD in Chemistry w/ 8 YOE. Now pursuing a part-time MBA while working as an R&D manager is a chemical company. I don't enjoy chemistry research anymore and want to try something else. I'm interested in consulting and think it could open doors for me to do something different after a few years. My main struggle is that I think I'm pretty old to make such a change (if I can get into consulting) ...not sure if anyone has a similar background that can share the insights.

Hi fishes! I am in final HR discussions with Ericsson. They are offering Job Stage 5 -- 13lpa (not final). Java Spring Boot, YoE 4.5/5.9. CCTC is 7.7lpa and offer in hand is 11lpa. Am I being low balled as per Ericsson's standards?

Going to Tahoe to ski in Feb. I have the option of a 1.5 layover in PHX or 3.5 hours in AUS.

Is 1.5 hours enough in PHX for bags to transfer? I really don’t want my ski equipment to miss the transfer but 3.5 hours seems overkill. My layovers will both be around 5pm local time if that matters.
