How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I recently learned from 3 different employees that left (voluntarily) they were making 98-105k. They were outside candidates and were all hired within the last year and for the same position, and same regional territory. I have worked for the company 3+ years and went from a core position, to large loss. I was given a 10k raise putting me around 78k. Yes.... some of these individuals have Lardge Losss experience but does that really make a 20-25k difference? Any advise!?

I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

Hello, I have accepted an offer at a competitor company and sent in my resignation letter. My start date is 5 weeks from now so I put in my end date 4 weeks from date letter was signed.
