I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

I was in a similar situation last year. My wife matched her into her fellowship in Ohio when we were living in Illinois for her residency. Luckily, Ohio and Illinois have reciprocity through UBE which doesn’t seem to be your situation (unfortunately). My biggest fear going in was the firm I would eventually work at would not like the fact that I was only going to be potentially staying for two years. I ended up finding a job in L&E before my UBE transfer was approved in Ohio and the firm just put a contingency in my contract that I needed to be barred by X date. They also didn’t seem to mind the two year situation. However, to be fair, they also don’t seem to really understand how fellowships works. Not sure how much that helps, but I at least empathize with your situation.
Glad it worked out for you! I really hate being at the mercy of the match. I feel that on just going somewhere for 2 years and having to move again. Such is the life we live. Hope it's working out well for you!
You might want to wait unless you affirmatively would prefer a remote position. It’s gotten easier to waive in to many states. In Maryland, for example, you only need to have worked full time for 3 of the past five years to waive in without an exam. If you know which states your husband is applying in, you can check them and then decide.
Very open to that! Eventual goal is in house, just don't think I will have enough experience by then
We moved to texas for my partners residency. I lateraled to a BL firm in DC that is letting me be remote. I think it was the right call because like you, we’ll be moving again for his fellowship in two years. And then possibly again once he gets a job.
That's awesome you scored a remote job. That would be ideal for me. We will for sure be moving after his fellowship so remote seems the most ideal
