Bro dont chase high salary be in middle and start small business, I have started one library, took one hostel on lease and started one cold press oil mill and last month net profit is 7 lakhs. So be mid at work start doing business in small tier 2 or tier 3.
In small cities library trends are very common nowadays. Even you can find libraries with 10-20 seating capacity. In my library we have around 80 seats and people can book a seat for ₹800 per month for 3 hours. If they want to occupy the same seat for the whole day it is around ₹1600 per month. Library timings are up to 12 hours. Approximately we get around 250-300 registrations per month and the numbers are increasing because there are a good number of hostels and 24-hour fast food stalls nearby. We also have a printing machine, stationery items, 4-5 computer systems, a large TV for entertainment, a water cooler, internet and other facilities.
The hostel I took on lease from my neighbour has around 20 rooms. Previously he used to rent it directly to students who lived in sharing but later he decided to give it on lease so we converted it into a proper hostel like those in metro cities. We created a kitchen, a common area, installed washing machines on each floor and arranged food service. Each room accommodates 3 students. Food costs around ₹4000 per month per student and we charge ₹3000 per bed. Since there are 3 beds in each room the owner gets around ₹8000 per room. Monthly maintenance expenses like water tank cleaning and repairs are shared by both of us.
For the oil mill my village has a good amount of mustard farming so I installed a mustard oil mill. I took a loan under a government scheme and got a good subsidy. For now we purchased one machine and also installed an atta chakki. We hired one village person for inventory management and another for operating the machine. From there we supply oil to the nearest mandi where local brands do white labelling and sell it under their own names. We also sell the mustard cake and other by-products to farmers and dairy owners as feed for buffaloes and cattle which creates another source of income.
Till date I have invested around ₹30 lakhs. Library construction cost was around ₹7 lakhs as the land was already ours. Hostel kitchen setup and other facilities cost around ₹5 lakhs. Oil mill setup including machine installation and raw materials cost around ₹12 lakhs. During this journey I found that in Tier 2, Tier 3 cities and villages it is much easier to start a business. In Tier 1 cities it is not even possible to start many businesses without investing crores because costs and competition are very high.
For prerequisites, don't put all your money into a single bucket. Start with safer businesses.
In my area, there are already many libraries running successfully, so the chances of failure are quite low. That's one of the main reasons I invested in a library.
Also, in India, a large number of students live in hostels or shared rooms where they don't have a proper space to study. Because of this, many students prefer joining libraries for a peaceful reading environment.
The cold-pressed oil business idea came from my father. He lives in the village and is happy to monitor and manage the operations. He is honest, hardworking, and never creates unnecessary issues. He genuinely enjoys working and maintaining such businesses. At last sorry for my bad english. Hope this will be helpful.
If you are making 2-2.5L per month then don’t chase for money because money doesn’t matter after this band..instead spend time on health, play sports, spend time with family and friends etc
True
80L, 120L, 240L - All are possible. Without being CXO.
Life does change from 2bhk to 3bhk to 4bhk.
I'm getting about 90L in a GCC and I know people making more.
You won't worry about your children getting into IIT because you can send them to the USA.
You won't worry about your children's job because they can try their hands on building their own start-ups
You can go for a staycation in a 5 star resort every 3 months. You can enjoy the best luxuries India can give you.
Agreed about the GCC part. People working in service based companies don’t even realize where they are stuck. They are like frogs stuck in a deep well.
It is reality..I am one among in middle management role with 83 lpa CTC ..no RSUs
Started with 2lpa 19 years ago
My colleagues - 10 years exp with 60lpa
Not a FAANG company
could you please share your professional experiences...just want to know..Guide me please!
It's pretty common with top product companies, even outside FAANG. 10+ YOE with good DS/Algo and System design skills will get you these TCs, if you are an IC. In fact, its a lot more now. Annual TCs of 1 to 3 cr are attainable in top companies. It all depends if you can attain that level of skills. And no, it doesn't mean the work life balance will be poor. My work life balance is better than ever. People will just find excuses for justifying their laziness. Build some discipline and improve your coding and system design skills over the next year and keep trying till you get at that level
Be happy whatever you are getting
Well said, we should always be grateful.

What would u do if you get an answer? (Any matured IT professional knows the answer)..
@OP: If you lost your job then your first concern should be how to find a new job, not whether anyone is getting 80+!
Well , if you make the company to earn anything about 8X to 10 X your salary . for a 80+LPA you should ideally be responsible for a business momentum of 5 to 8 crore . this is ideally for a software company with lot of head room , if its sales or non tech operation its much higher may be over 20 crores . Dont expect higher salary if your cant make revenue to the company
CTC is possible.
What skills and experience is required?
Manager with actual technical working experience to guide his team
Is that even reality or just hope?
Check out blind…your mind will be blown off!!
It's definitely possible as an IC. Grind up, start learning niche skills and first of all if in Software development, clear your basics of Coding, System Design and Integrations. Then start leetcode related problems. Nothing can stop you after that.
Leetcode or hackerrank is a paid service as I found. Isn't there any practice tool where we can practice these back & forth, not just trials of 1 or 2 times?
bro I am just into entry level seeing all these CTC making me mad

dululu motivation
In most product companies, people with 12~15+ years of experience achieve this. It is not a big deal nowadays. Five years ago, this would have been a big deal, but not anymore.
I am in a product based company and I am an individual contributor. Most of the product based company provide beyond 80 LPA for my experience of 12+ years.
From my salary and RSUs I paid 71.8 lakh INR as income tax in last financial year. So this salary is not a big deal in a good product based company.
I am at 50 lpa at team lead role but I had given few interviews for arch role offer 65-80 lpa at 13 years, so I feel it is possible
Where are you working and what technology?
This company is so good
