In leadership, I’ve found that accessibility does increase, but boundaries still have to be intentional. Being reachable does not mean being available for everything at all times. Strong leaders create structure, clear escalation paths, and empowered teams so urgent matters are addressed without creating burnout or dependency. The higher you go, the more important it becomes to model sustainable leadership, not just constant availability.
One of the best descriptions I’ve read in the last few years. The best leaders I’ve know, or studied under mastered the ability to set a structure of levels to get things done at the lowest possible level without shutting down a flow for problem solving be it individuals or groups. Never completely close the path upwards.

Yes. I’m expected to be reachable 24x7

Yes. But the boundaries are different now. I have a lot more flexibility in my day to day schedule but I do know I might get a call or text from my CEO at 7 pm. I’ve been able to set weekend boundaries and all my staff knows they can email or message when they need to but doesn’t necessarily mean I’ll respond right away.
Yes an open door policy only works if you insist that iaeveryone who wwalkt through it to complain about someone else has already addressed the issue with that person directly!
I would say this is a very naive take.
