Even if the bench isnt big...are you learning the skills that you will need in the future.
I spent some time at pwc and realized that pwcs advisory practice doesnt really teach problem solving skills. They teach you how to follow an audit checklist and present it in an incredibly polished way.
With all the talk layoffs over the last 24 months at pwc...i wold look for a firm that does a better job of giving their consultants marketable skills.

I don't disagree, but my point still stands- if you're as good as you say are, you wouldn't be at S& but one of the MBB. Get off your high horse.
Hours are flexible depending on the project. I was on one where we decided to have a meeting at 630 everyday to recap what was done and what needed to be done for the rest of the night. We peace out then, workout/have dinner and finish our work as we need to after. Hours are long but at least we can be healthy.

It's real. Groups (this is from FS source) are being asked to make 10% cuts, it was supposed to be at FY end but may be moved to February. Be aware and wary.
Skills discussion certainly doesn't apply to s& IMO. In terms of layoffs, this wouldn't surprise me, but definitely nothing to be concerned about if you're good...

If you're still good, you may not be fine. They're looking to keep 1s and 2s. 3s are not making the cut either. It could include IFS
