No, I've never experienced anything like that. I can recall dealing with recruiters who sometimes seemed a little disorganized and would wander a little off-topic during conversations. But if someone met up with me to vent about their own job I'd think I'd entered the Twilight Zone.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I laughed a bit at the “Twilight Zone” comment—honestly, that’s exactly how it felt in the moment. At the time, I was pretty surprised by how the conversation turned, but interestingly, I later landed a temp job where the environment was very toxic. So, looking back, I can actually understand where she was coming from. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond!
Wow! That's incredibly unprofessional. I have had interviewers start going off on tangents about random things related to their personal lives, but it never went on for very long, thankfully.

Thanks for sharing that! It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one who’s experienced something like this. You're right—it felt incredibly unprofessional, and I was definitely caught off guard. Interestingly enough, I later landed a temp job where the environment turned out to be very toxic, so in hindsight, I can really feel her pain. Appreciate you taking the time to respond!
