I've got a job offer from Deloitte Latvia ( Deloitte Central Europe) for the Riga City. The gross compensation is 3000€/monthly along with one time 2500€ as a relocation allowance with other benefits like 45€/month as Telephone reimbursement etc & other usual Deloitte benefits. Currently I've a ctc of 11 LPA at EY & 3.5 YOE. Is it worth accepting the offer after all calculations. #Deloitte #Europe #Latvia . Deloitte EY . Kindly provide some insights if u have any .

Your contract says 2, then refund 2...
My experience is you refund the gross amount, but they should give you get a tax receipt that you can use to deduct against your tax owing in the year of
Thank you all , I ended up sticking to the contract and they eventually agreed that the contract explained it clearly after i said i am bringing a lawyer into the situation.
You have to reimburse what you got in your bank account
Thank you but that is not my question i know i have to return what i got but if they insist i return more is it legal. ? They want mw to return taxes too that i never got
Unless the repayable amount of the bonus is explicitly pro-rated such that you owe them less the longer you stayed at the company, you normally would owe them the full (gross) amount. In that case, you would get the extra that you paid back with your tax return.
That being said, a contract is a contract. If you're confident in your interpretation of the contract and down to fight them in court, go for it. Unfortunately, that will almost certainly cost you more than just doing what they want though.
