I was just offered a CUNY role. The title is Higher Education Assistant. According to Glassdoor, the average annual pay for that role is $83,418. However, I was offered $62,500. I requested for the minimum annual salary to be 75k. Does anyone have experience navigating the CUNY system and their pay?

I mean that’s standard pre-COVID travel, especially for implementations
Most projects are still remote. Im not personally aware of a single one that is back to M-Thu on site at the client. Clients generally have not agreed to go back to paying for that expense on top of project fees, and we certainly aren’t paying for the whole team to be on site on our dime. I don’t see very many of us going back to that model, especially in this market where everyone is cutting costs.
I’m traveling a bit for client BD (I’m an MD), but those are typically in and out in 1-2 days.

It’s all client-dependent. The recruiter most likely told you this because that is what may happen at some point or on some engagements, so they don’t want to hire someone just to watch them leave in 3 months due to travel. That said, perhaps you are earmarked for a role on a project that is traveling every week. I’m sure there are a few like that in every firm
I’m traveling Mon-Thu virtually every week as do several of my colleagues. There is more flexibility to an occasional week off, but overall that’s been this way now for most of this year.
If you’re not comfortable with it I wouldn’t proceed. They may already have a project in mind that is 80% travel (e.g Mon-Thurs every week). Pre-Covid consulting travel.

At some point you have expect that travel will reach a certain level again. Maybe not 80%, because some clients are saving far too much at this point, but 40-50% doesn’t seem unrealistic.
Like others said, could be what the role being filled needs.
There are definitely folks on the strategy side traveling 80%
It’s very client dependent but you have to prepared to travel M - Thu if you’re one one of those projects. I know several folks who are traveling all week at ACN.
They are just looking to weed people out for their convenience.
