What book have you read that was helpful for your career and/or that you would recommend? Could be a technical book, management, etc. For me, it’s a book I read a few years ago: The Phoenix Project. I never thought I would read and like a novel about DevOps but I recommend it to all my managers.

Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks. What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.
