I have applied to several positions up Google. I have not heard anything back at all. No matter if I customize my résumé to the job description I still don’t hear anything back. I am wondering as to why Google ghost people instead of just telling them that they didn’t get the job? Do people on Google believe it is appropriate for the recruiters just a ghost people especially if they feel they don’t match the job?

Took me about 18 months to go from SDR to AE and clear six figures, but it really depends on your company and how much they promote internally. The grind is real, but the upside can be worth it.

Make the move to the SDR role.
Talk with your new hiring manager that you want to eventually move to an AE role. Map this out in your career objectives and lay out clear KPIs that would earn their commendation and support for whenever you mKe the bid to move to an AE role.
I've seen plenty of BDRs / SDRs move to an AE role in 2-3 years.
