Ad copywriter who’s freelancing outside of agency world, who do I ask for a reference/review from when finishing up a project? Project leader (who I had minimal interaction with) or day-to-day contact who is lower ranking but actually worked with me beyond the initial interview? At an agency I’d go straight to the CD, but this is a consultancy that doesn’t have that sort of structure.

Quick one, Is it okay to always ask for time to collect thoughts before answering questions during case interviews or should we shoot from the hip? I stutter naturally so speaking without a bit of time to collect thoughts can be hard.

Making a ppt for my next interview. The ask is to recommend whether or not to enter a specific life sciences indication. They’ve laid out the data they want to see (market, patients, competition etc). Would you start with summarising your decision and the whys, or build the story and then provide recos at the end? 20 min presentation with ~8-9 slides.

I have 32k miles with THY that are about to expire. Normally I'd go ahead and book a flight, but I can't project which countries might be locked down again 5-6 months from now (haven't accrued enough PTO to travel in near future). Is anyone else facing the brunt of working in a service based company and trying to move to a startup product company being dragged down by the 90 days notice period.

I have had a couple of interviews with good startup product companies where the main issue is my 90 days of notice period. Most startups simply run away at the mention of 90 days NP.

Even established product companies shy away at this. Has anyone recently switched despite this long a notice period?

I'm an introverted person, like to keep to myself, focus on work, spend the rest of my time on family, gym etc. I've been told that I need to work on my communication and client relationship building skills. any books I can read? I don't follow pop. culture anymore, no longer actively follow team sports (but sporty myself) as I consider it bread and circus for the masses and don't rly enjoy work drinks... Am I doomed? Personally I am happy and love the work but fear for my career progression.

Should I complain to a firm's HR if the interviewers laughed at my answer during an interview? I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.
