TCS is the worst company one can be in.
Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

Ask for a 10% raise, but when you do, go to them with everything you’ve accomplished during the last year + that proves you deserve it. And don’t go slinking in hat-in-hand either.
(They don’t care about inflation or doing the right thing. All they care about is money and maintaining high profit margins).
A better move would be to go to them with another offer in hand; fully prepared to walk if they don’t match it.
Ask for more and blame inflation. Solid 8%
Aim high. Go in asking for 8-10% and, like C2 said, cite inflation. Worst that happens is they meet you at what you expect to receive.
I usually ask for at least 10-15% if I can provide evidence for it
At least ask for a raise the same percentage as inflation, 8-10%, it can’t hurt.
A minimum of 10%
Maybe 3-5%? Pretty low, but a good place to start if you want to get the conversation going and evaluate where they're at.
I was erring on the side of asking for more than I want knowing they’ll probably meet me halfway.
Different thought/perspective.
If you’re overdue for a raise, perhaps it’s time for a new gig instead of trying to squeeze blood from a stone.
The average raise is 3.4% annually, I would multiply that by however many years you haven’t received a raise, and then add 8.5% to account for the historic levels of inflation this year. Anything less than that isn’t truly a raise.
I would say 10-15%. All depends on what you have done to justify it.
