Had my HR call with HCL Technologies 3 weeks ago and we agreed on a offer, the Hr said he will release the offer letter in one week. Since then they haven't communicated and not picking up the call. Has this happened to anyone as well?
PS: I'm considering this as reject and not expecting anything.

Take from corporate only, as it's group policy they will not reject most of the claims. If they reject that would affect insurance company and your company relationship. If you take outside there are chances that for few reasons they may reject as it is for parents.
Rising Star
It's always better to take outside that corporate. Bcoz it gets reset everytime you change a company. And the treatments for which waiting period is required gets reduced.
I got my parents Max Bupa - Reassure Plan. Check it out.
Also keep your insurance seperate from parents.
How is the max bupa reassure plan.... I'm planning to buy one for my parents
Pro
Always opt for external medical insurance with a good cover for parents and family. It takes a several years for some of us to realize how meager company insurance coverage is until something happens. Even I learned the hard way
Better go for external, coz parents would have pre existing conditions and all external require atleast 3years before they cover the pre existing. The issue with internal is it ends after you change companies.
In most of the cases the insurance isn't covered for parents from the firm, you have to take it additionally. Anyway, take the insurance from the firm. In most cases the claim won't be rejected. You don't have to pay much. Hope it helps.
I had availed my parents insurance through company. I hoped if any kind of issue comes hr/company will come in between. but at the time of claim reimbursement i got to know that the company has removed them and told me to talk to them directly as they will not be interfering. so i talked to them directly and those guys asked me so mony documents even the hospital guys were not aware of it . finally i gave up. no one helped me not hr not company. that was my experience. hope it helps u taking the decision.
Better get one policy from outside which will come within 10-12k yearly. Can you please share your experience in Deloitte please.
My Experience with Deloitte is just good but not great.
I didn't find much learning and growth here, WLB depends on the project/unit.
No Onsite opportunities as well.
On an Organisational level it's really great when coming to the Employee benefits, Flexibility and Care.
I’ve been in a similar spot. On paper, corporate health plans look comforting, but over time I realized they’re designed for the employer, not for individual family needs. In my case, the sum insured felt “okay” until I started looking at real treatment costs for parents—room rent caps, sub-limits, and exclusions add up fast. Also, the biggest risk is continuity: the day you leave the company, that cover usually ends.
That’s what pushed me to seriously review my parents’ coverage outside of my employer plan. I used BimaScore and Bima Analyze out of curiosity more than anything—just basic inputs, no document upload—and it gave me a clarity score (out of 1000) that honestly exposed gaps I hadn’t noticed before. It helped me see whether the policy would actually hold up in a real claim, not just look good on HR slides.
If you’re weighing options, I’d suggest evaluating your existing cover realistically before deciding. You can check it yourself here if helpful: [https://bimascore.com/a8lmv6](https://bimascore.com/a8lmv6)
