Yeah with 16 YOE don’t settle for Associate Manager. You should be at least a Manager if not Senior Manager.
I would ask the recruiter what career level they envision bringing you in at. They gave me associate manager with 3 YOE and I’ve seen people with 6-7 YOE make manager so I would imagine 16 YOE should put you well out of range there lol
Manager is the cutoff for global equity...so typically costs you $10k in comp getting associate manager.
If they reached out- likely flexibility in the role. I’ve posted roles on multiple occasions where I write up 1 role...but am willing to take experience into varying levels. Recruiter, get me someone with this skill...I’d like a consultant but I’ll take a Manager if they cost that much...
Associate Manager is the AFS term for senior consultant. AFS Managers start around 8-10 YOE (my best guess).

Hard pass on the role. Talked to the recruiter this morning and there's no flexibility in bumping up to a L7 or higher, with a correspondingly low salary range (~$50k below what I asked for).
Still seems odd to explicitly list a ≥10 YOE requirement and have such a comparatively low pay band for the position. I assume it's on a low margin contract, since it's a funded position, but it's still odd.
