Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

I moved after 14.5 years with the same firm. I had been practicing a total of 17 when I moved. I left with all of my work and then some. It’s hard. It was well worth it. Are you planning on taking anyone else with you?
I made a transition plan - like another section of my business plan. Things like - I always knew who to go to for XYZ. So I need to create a plan on how I would be able to quickly identify specialist who could help. Or how to get a new team integrated with my long term clients. Or how to navigate conflicts at new shop. Basically tried to identify pain points in advance and come up with an approach to deal with those pain points. It didn’t always go as scripted but it was really helpful to have thought of it in advance.
Similar spot here. Most surprising part of it that the hardest part of deciding to go is telling my partners who are also my friends at this point.
Consider labeling all the negatives up front in a way that will make them correct you. (Chris Voss covers this in his "Never Split the Difference.") I've used it a few times when leaving firms and it's worked well. I wasn't a partner with your tenure, but the tactic was still wildly successful. When people are your friends, they will often correct you if you over label. Something like: "I know you must be thinking that I'm ungrateful and selfish and it may feel like you I've mislead you." Or, "You might think I'm ungrateful or that I haven't thought at all about how this will impact you." If they say yes - you know what you need to work against. But, in all likelihood, they will say something more along the lines of "No but" and then tell you how they really feel. And, it will give you the space to tell them how hard this is for you but share as much of the personal reasons that you are comfortable with. It also helps you level set to focus energies on the things that really matter to them that you might be able to give to make the exit more collegial.
When you give notice, be prepared to be locked out. It happens more often than not. Know your deadlines and be prepared for the worst case scenario— no help for a while.
