Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).
I had to overcome a huge hurdle to start cultivating more social connection, self care, and hobbies: Workaholism. To be able to pick these positive habits up, we should try to understand why we haven’t before. This article touches on the internal drive to neglect ourselves for work and where it can come from. I know that for me, working on my internal impulse to work was the key to finally getting some balance. https://www.fastcompany.com/40531406/there-are-four-types-of-workaholic-and-none-of-them-work
Deloitte audit Vs. Grant Thornton Tax. I have an offer from Grant Thornton and From Deloitte as an Intern this summer. Deloitte is the bigger name and pays a bit better but Grant Thronton has way nicer people and known to have a way better cultre and work environment. What should I do? Where should I go?Deloitte Grant Thornton

Always after
Thanks
Personally, I’d wait until the background check is complete, just to be sure everything clears. It’ll give you peace of mind before you give your notice. That way, you’re not caught in a tricky situation if anything unexpected comes up.
This is my thoughts too. Thanks!
Always always after! I accepted a verbal offer, waiting for the CEO to come back from a vacation to sign an official one. Guess what? They declined the offer for no apparent reason… after 3 successful interviews.
Exactly remember, anything can happen..
Definitely after..
I'd wait until after. All these offers are typically contingent on a background check. You have nothing to worry about if you have nothing that will cause you to not pass a background check
Can be agonizingly slow
Bro unless you’ve done some shady stuff, just put in your notice and enjoy the time off before you start again. You don’t get a career break like this unless you’re a habitual job hopper.
Did u rob a bank recently?
What exactly do you expect on the background check
That’s pretty standard
