After submitting excel with comp expectations and getting verbal confirmation from HR on expected numbers, Is offer guarnteed to arrive or it can still be rejected? My discussion happend last Thursday and today when i called HR, she said she can't commit on date as there are still some approvals left! Has it happend with anyone else as well?

I have around 4 yrs exp in front end domain.

Questions-
What should be my general expectation if I switch now? Is my expectations realistic in terms of market
Would this put me on higher side of risk or being cutoff if cost cutting happens anywhere. Would they think 4 years and 20lkh is not justified.
