We lost our ice maker... in Florida
Something new every day… I’d say the people they let go that made our already unmanageable workload barely manageable would be the worst. Guess we’ll make our numbers by working/billing 70-80 hours a week each instead
We used to have free snacks as a startup, usually the first thing to go as more people join but it’s still missed 😢
Tampons in the men’s bathroom when Zuck went MAGA
Reduced the number of monthly meetings our group had because leadership didn’t want to pay for food (ie cold sandwiches or pizza) 😂
Desk cleaning for a hotdesk office. They replaced it with an honour system where people get wipes from a dispenser in the kitchens. The first year of this change, cold season wiped out entire floors in the office.
Same... coffee. Meh - I can live without it, I guess.
Mints in the bathroom. Lol
The candy drawer has seen budget cuts

We used to get 50% pay for unused PTO when we reached our anniversary. That’s been done away with since COVID unfortunately. Oh well, more reason to actually take time off.
Our company also used to incentivize us for creating content for the company: blog posts, case studies, videos. We no longer get paid. Instead, it’s now part of our annual review and is something we have to do to check a box.
Our excess PTO cash outs were eliminated after covid, though they did give us 2 more paid holidays. Exempts and SG&A people suddenly weren't taking PTO with WFH. It screwed those of us who were "essential" workers who had to go back 2.5 weeks after the lockdowns (with the requisite cautions and things closed so eating microwave meals and such for lunch), most lower paid worker bees. I blamed them more than the company.
Nothing in fact we’re now receiving every verb pronoun and instruction in the job summary. And every question in the interview make sense. Be careful of switching between government words
The preview of this post showed "the cfo bragged about cost cutting the women" and i first thought "well what else is new, but I guess I'm surprised he's so brazen about it"
