After working in Accenture for 1 year, I joined Barclays two years ago as BA3 Java developer still I get paid, with salary equivalent to what any fresher in Barclays gets. My Year end rating were Good and outstanding and expect the same this year. Upon asking for promotion to BA4, he replied saying, it depends on the management. Can anyone explain how promotion proceess will be like, interview difficulty level, starting salary offered for BA4 position, Max hike percentage I can ask for?

Has anyone received equity as contingency comp? I have a potential client with a founders dispute. He doesn’t have cash, and the other founder ripped him off and is now running the company. He wants to sue for equity and wants to pay me with whatever equity he wins. I’ve never done a deal like that. Is that even enforceable? CA law. The startup is actually quite promising.
