Join birlasoft one month back, but didn't get any project yet. Till now gave two client round perform well in both but afterwards didn't get any kind of response from RMG. RMG people are also not too interactive, they hardly respond to the pings.

The pandemic took all the upside of an IB analyst life (client meetings in person, fancy trips, suit up, worshiped at networking events) and left all the juniors with the downside (long hours, monkey-like type of job, aggressive work environment).

Not that the complaints are not sort of legitimate but you may need to revise the decision-making process that led you to accept a return offer. Specially if you were looking for less hours.

I want to join a start up in my industry but I need to rescind a job acceptance from a more establish company. I resigned from my old job and didn’t start the new job yet. Is the non compete I signed, as part of the job offer acceptance for the position with the bigger company, enforceable if I rescind my job acceptance before I actually start a new job? I don’t think it is. I didn’t receive a sign on bonus so no additional consideration was exchanged from my understanding of my law classes.

How do you guys become more efficient? On a pretty research intensive project at the moment and struggling to be 80/20. Feels like I am not 'actively' thinking about the problem at hand and am constantly falling into a 'passive' mindset. When I do realise this, I switch back to active thinking. One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
