AlixPartners fish, I have tried a few times to connect on a few roles, contacting recruiters or applying cold. I always get rejected and cannot figure out why. My resume has worked well at MBB, T2 and B4 (interviews and final rounds at MBB and offers from T2). I cannot crack the code for AlixPartners. Any insight what could be a filter here that’s unique? I suspect it’s my non-target state school, but not sure. (15+ YOE).

Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.

So had my first interview in one of the big 4 but it got me completely off guard. First one was call screening and then a technical interview. Now what I didn’t expect is rather than technicalities they focused on the consulting a lot more. Now the role that was marketed was technical/Architect and they even said that in current capacity you’ll work here as a technical person. I don’t think it went well. Coming from a technical background I was hoping for coding .
