Hi I’m a current Graduate student, hoping to get my foot in the door for Deloitte Healthcare Consulting, Accenture CDP, or EY specifically within Chicago Offices. Is there anyone open to connecting and speaking on their experience being hired? I have previous experience working prior to my degree so hoping to get insight on how I can best score an interview. If you’re also open to providing a referral that would be a bonus!

Thanks for your input. At the end of the day, it's about a service (however that looks to you) that takes you forward and in a framework that works for you. Yes, that might sound fluffy. But there's no one size fits all with personal development.

Mentorship. Everyone who's 35 and under in my office is craving it. The only issue is that candidates and students aren't willing to pay for coaching like therapy. Counselors and licensed therapists can charge $350 / hr, but the same advice for career coaching is at best $100 / hr.
Excellent thought! You're right about it being a challenge to get them to pay, but it's a solid target market.
I'd like personalised advice, maybe in the form of a consultation where I get to tell you about my career then I get to listen to what you think I ought to do going forward > I guess I ought to mention that I have two parallel careers in creative industries and there isn't a whole lot of career advice out there that seems to apply

I had a performance coach once, they fired me up, but it wasn’t a weekly or bi-weekly session. I would call when I felt like my numbers weren’t where they should have been. I guess that’s what a career coach does, but I don’t know for sure.

For me, when I was job hunting, the biggest help would’ve been expanding my network and figuring out how to break into a new market. I also needed guidance on refining my portfolio so I could actually secure a role. I think career coaching that focuses on mentorship and connection—like helping people meet others in their field—can make a huge difference, especially when folks are trying to build job security.
