Am I dumb for rejecting a marketing role (not what I wanted to do responsibilities wise) at BCGDV (Boston Consulting Group) & instead moving into another agency for a role that fit my goals? TBF, BCGDV was lowballing me like crazy & refused to budge on salary, whereas agency instantly met my desired salary.

I have more than 10 years of experience in Manual/Database Testing, Data Consulting,Data Quality and Data Migration using SQL. I am also a certified Professional Scrum Master (PSM) and certified Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO). What salary should I ask for. I mean any average CTC looking at the current market and my YOE.

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
