Honest question: how many hours do you work a week, what type of consulting do you do, and what is your position? Thinking of switching from big 4 consulting to MBB but seeking this feedback.

Thanks for the clarification D6. Yes. Up to 100hrs for a short, 3-6 week strategy project. Timing is more so based on clients needs to get things done yesterday. Also need to consider 2-5 proposals in the queue at any given time...

Job has up to 80% travel PwC

How is typically life for these positions requiring travel? This is for a SWE position.
Currently work with clients is remote as stated by the recruiter. If work is currently feasible through virtual means, will there be flexibility to choose to travel for this position?

I have an offer with PWC and have a family. I would prefer to be with my family.

What law firm is your favorite for run of the mill employment issues in the US and internationally (India, Australia, UK, Germany, etc.). One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
