Nope, you're not alone! It's miserable lol
It’s so ridiculous I’ve resolved to start my own wedding business just to spite it. Just gotta find the funding first lol
Agree. Exactly why I reach out to only 3-4 vendors in each category. If they don't respond, out; if they are not transparent with pricing initially, out.
Same here. There are a lot of sketchy vendors. I only have 5 trusted vendors in this industry.
Luckily our planner has shielded us from all of that- have no idea how I’d navigate it without her.

I know personally, as an invitation/stationery vendor, I feel bad that pricing isn’t visible on my site but I do get back to inquiries with quotes within 48 hours. There’s just too many factors with pricing to put an estimate which I feel like applies to a lot of vendors which is why it can be difficult
Pro
that I totally get, things like photo, makeup, band/dj etc can be pretty standardized. I feel like a lot of vendors forget just how many vendors couples need to reach out to, and how overwhelming it can be digging for all the info
Lack of transparency has been an issue for years now. Or at least ever since I got into this industry. It is just so frustrating.
We feel the same way. So you are definitely not alone, OP.
Nope. We've figured it out as well. It's hard to have transparent transactions with vendors nowadays.
Cut them out if they don't respond. Cut them out if they are not being transparent. We cannot afford to have another problem.
Not at all! I start trying to plan and then I give up and have to take a break out of frustration.
I feel like in 20 years we’ll look back and think, people had weddings like THAT?? why??
