You have a great salary for less than 1 year of experience.
Without knowing your industry and company $80k is a great start.
Accounting/IT I work with the ERP software Sage it’s a competitor to NetSuite
You are lucky, i been graduate in 2023 , working more two years in a fintech and taking just £27.4K per year.
I turned down an opportunity at a fintech company because of the pay, with your experience it sounds like you can be making a lot more
Depends on location and role but sounds great
I live in CT and it’s fully remote
You are fine don't stress
Better to be in the right company and have right boss at this stage of career
Management has been great so far
How would anybody possibly know considering we have no idea what actual "work" you even do
Solutions Architect for Sage 100
I am at just under 65k/year with 13 years at the same company, in office ft, with 10 previous years of similar experience. I have no post secondary education however learned on the job. I think you’re doing great
That sounds fair. After a couple more years in the field that may change. I would just look around and ask for a raise after working there a year. One thing I have learned after years of living, No is free and it's not what you know it's who you know.
Don’t pay attention to what others making at this point. Focus on gaining certifications and work experience and you should be fine. That’s a great salary for right now. Continuing to focus on others while on your own journey will only make you miserable.
Thank you, I’ve already gotten 2 consulting certifications so far since starting this job
You are making really good money for a year experience.
Not nearly enough information to give a qualified response. Overall though, I'd say you're doing pretty well for yourself making 80k out of the gate.
Word of wisdom - if your immediate goal is maximizing salary, job hop. That's where the gains can be realized if you constantly keep your eyes open for the next big jump. I've averaged 2 years per employer so far over my career and it has worked out well for me.
Edit: Unless you're my direct report. Then please stay with me, and I'll gladly promote you to prevent you from leaving me.
Do you have any 401k hanging from your previous employer? Let’s put it to work with an annuity?
