I think you're on the higher side.. you can make a push for 250 because I know people get that. A very similar offer was made to s close friend but he opted for another FAANG. It is unlikely that they'll increase your base so try negotiations with RSU and bonus
I got similar offer post bschool for L6 PMT. Tell them PL comp and negotiate from there. Tech companies including Amazon are usually flexible especially in sign on bonus and RSUs. Wife’s friend got 250 one year post MBA. Talk to career services to get help with negotiation. All the best!
I think this is lower end of the spectrum - I got this offer post MBA internship there (4 years back).
Serious question: isn’t that a huge haircut? Changing for WLB or is there a lot of upside or both?
Trying to get a sense of comp expectations. At 6 YOE from ZS I’m in the ~$220k TC range so was anticipating someone from MBB would be seeking much higher.
Yeah I mean a good chunk of exits out of MBB are not going to have the same comp trajectory as inside other than PE/VC. I know lots of people that are happy just matching or slightly raising their current comp when they exit, knowing that trajectory is going to not be as steep. But not many people are cut out to stay high performers working 70 hour weeks for the decade it takes to make partner.
