AA ain't perfect, but the others aren't worth it without a hub.
Got it, ya I would be flying to LA for the next 6 months from DFW. I have an executive platinum in American, but these guys suck. Tired of the pathetic service and rude staff at American. Sticking around with these guys is not worth it. I will definitely figure out the United and Delta option. Thanks much amigos!
Your only other option is Southwest out of Love.
If you're flying to LAX, united's terminal is the last one in the loop so it's super easy to get in and out of the airport (there's a shortcut right through the front). Basically only reason I fly united.
I get dropped off at 7 and walk down to 4
I'm not sure about matches, but I did a challenge with United from American. Told them I was Executive Platinum and they offered me 1K if I got 12500 miles in 3 months....without ever asking to see my Exec Platinum status. Easiest decisions I've made
PwC has arrangements with the 3 major airlines to match your status for 180 days. So, for example, if you're AAdvantage Gold, you'll get United Silver provisionally, and if you fly enough in the 180 days to keep the status (I believe the threshold is 10k miles), you'd keep it
Who is the other one? Delta?
I do Delta out of DFW every week, no issues as long as you don't go through Detroit for any reason
^yes. But I believe the status you're matching can be from any major airline. So if you had status with British Airways you could get the equivalent United status (but not in reverse).
