Never heard of Amp, but the copy on the website is atrocious.
I think "falling apart" is a bit naive of the person who wrote this. AMP is growing, expanding offices and fast, for that reason process and structure is undergoing change. This is a challenge, don't get me wrong, but only if you're up for it. Yes, the clients may not be what some people want to work on but where's the fun in that? A true advertiser takes the unsold and makes it sell. A true advertiser pulls together various departments to drive a client's business forward. That is what makes advertising great, challenging the status quo every time, even if you're working late, to make that one idea a success for our clients. AMP has prepared me to be not only a better advertiser but a marketer. I've learned analytics, event production, media, production, web development and so much more. AMP prepares our teams to be leaders, not followers. We raise our hands, make change and rise to the occasion when things feel like they are "falling apart" not turn and walk away. I'm sorry you couldn't see that challenge as opportunity but, perhaps, you can see it now.

While I always appreciate being called naive by someone who doesn't know me, I don't consider working until 1am 3 times a week a challenge, but more like slave labor. The desperate attempt to make amp something bigger , more inspirational or to give me a speech about how we raise our hands and bla bla bla is ridiculous. When people are leaving in the middle of the day to cry, you need to take a look around and MAKE A REA CHANGE. And stop bullshitting about expanding and growing.
Tbh.. a true advertiser gets to work, does their work, makes their money, and goes home to enjoy their life with friends and family outside of their job. TBQH.

I hate that “a true advertiser <insert a whole bunch of shit that Gary V would say, but none of it actually means anything>” rhetoric. All that’s meant to do is make people feel bad for wanting better for themselves than working on Apple&Eve or TomTom. I’ve never even heard of Amp, and I can assure you than putting time in at a known agency working on big-name clients and doing first-to-market/award-winning work is going to get you a lot further than whatever you learned while you “challenged the status quo” by doing stuff no one will notice.
