What is the cooling period for different semiconductor companies? Someone we have to wait 1 yr for another chance to get an interview at nvidia. Is that true?

I have an interview coming up for BCG but due to some personal reasons might need to push it a few weeks. What’s the likelihood the firm will be OK with pushing / is it even worth asking?

Hey everyone - I could do with some advice. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I am having a hard time getting interview calls. I am trying to pivot from consulting to the industry and targeting project/program management roles. I have been doing this work for 7+ years now (total YOE 12 years) so certainly have the right skillset. I have tried a couple of referrals too but that didn’t help either. My project at a FAANG company completes the end of this month. For my next move, I’m looking for product and content managerial or directorial positions starting January dealing with content or marketing in tech, blockchain/cryptocurrency, or financial services/insurance. Applying for promotion to Digital Design Lead. 15 YoE, currently making about 82k + profit share. 3rd in seniority and department is currently restructuring. Based on some other internal salary ranges, planning to to ask for 106k, about a 30% jump. How does this look?

I have 5 years of experience and just worked at startup no one has heard of - I've applied to 15 companies and no one has even gotten back with me. Is my resume that terrible?

2) How do I organize my engagement experiences - All combined bullets or separated by client?
3) How about my internal efforts? (I did 3 internal projects within the firm)
4) Education on top or bottom?

I’ve had several great interviews with a few diff companies. Or rather, I thought they went well but then I get the dreaded “thanks but we made the difficult decision to move forward with other candidates”. I’ve asked for feedback but so far have gotten none.

I know it’s competitive out there, but I also don’t know how I can either position myself better, seek positions that are more aligned with my expertise/experience, or work on improving certain areas.

Any advice on how to proceed?

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
