Analyst, 63K, USDC - A&IC, 7 months working
Performance: Highest possible marks

If you wanted to make more $ what would you do?
1. Transfer to Core/traditional after 1 year in USDC
2. Stay till I am promoted to consultant
3. Get out of Deloitte and look for other opportunities

They say promotion from Analyst to next level takes an average of 3 years unless it's a special case

like

Im special 🥰

Try to move from USDC to core but also parallely look for better paying jobs

Option 2 is very slow process considering you are in USDC

Thanks

Moving to core takes a while. Need PPMD support. You may be better off leaving. Put out some feelers and see how things go.

I’d say go for options 1, 2, then 3 in that order. Try to get transferred to core (you’d likely need a year of exp under your belt), then stay until consultant level. If you’re still unhappy with comp or work, then peruse around for other opportunities.
Best of luck

Though my current company is an mnc but not that big and no work pressure is there, amazing work life balance. However, there is little to no learning and its very slow, the project is just starting and the client itself is not clear what they want. Do you think I should switch just because its a big 4. Please help me decide. Yoe -3.5

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? If so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks!

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
