I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

We have our last session of the year of our group/guest financial education cycles at our Downtown Toronto office this Saturday. We go through our first financial education session that we talk about basic to higher level of financial information; from saving, investing, risks and returns, registered accounts, etc. There is no cost and no obligation. If you are interested to attend in-person or via Zoom, let me know.

Whenever I have to put slides together, I doubt myself a million times and it takes too long to make a single slide. I know I have Impostor Syndrome and depression, and the longer it takes to put a slide together, the harder it is to get it done. It’s like I have a phobia for doing the work, but it’s my job as a consultant 😔 I think I fear getting it wrong, but I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how they have coped? Thanks, in advance 🙏🏻

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Hi everyone! I'm a SDR (IT services firm) looking to up my skillset - are there any training courses or certificates anyone can recommend? I get basic sales training through my employer, so I'm looking more for something that helps me from a technical or business perspective when I speak to clients, or something that would set me apart from other potential candidates when moving jobs. Really open to any kind of suggestions - project management, cloud fundamentals (thinking AWS or Azure), ...

I’m looking for some advice on “commission only” salespeople. This is for a startup with a great foundation. It has good branding and a great website. All it needs now is hungry sales professionals with experience to build this startup into something big! I know very little about sales management and need to know if this is a viable option and how to go about getting started. Thank you.

Currently a manager in Deloitte digital aligned with Salesforce GTM/Alliances/Implementation. Had a successful few years in Saas sales leading a small inside team to acquisition. Looking to get back in the sales game, miss the flexibility and the earnings potential. Do any fine folk here have line of sight into a company/role that would be a solid transition opportunity? Thank you!

How many of y'all actually write things down? A lot of people are into Notion etc but I've never found a use for note apps, even for things like shopping lists and recipes. I take notes at work but don't write for my personal life.

For those of you who do write or take notes, what do you write about?

I’ve been a freelance print production designer for many years, and usually on-site in the before times. Now I work remote, and am finding it uneasy dealing with billing. Before I always billed hourly, which made sense, but it’s becoming an issue now. Some companies don’t have a full days’ work, so it seems wrong to bill full days, and it allows me to juggle projects for different companies, but my billable hours are down. I know I should bill a daily rate, but not sure that will fly. Thoughts?

All of my writers are busy. Went FT, family stuff, already booked. I had to leave a 5 week contract on the table because I don’t have a deep enough writer pool. I’m 17 years in the biz, have awards and primarily do TV and Digital. CD/AD. Anyone interested in building a professional partnership? Let me know.
