Clearly the first rule of becoming a self-described expert is having zero idea what you’re talking about
Newer age marketing agency:
-No niche
-No services
-No employees
-1,000% profit margin
What agency had a profit margin of 5-10%? I agree it’s a rough business, but I think most budget a 30%+ margin after all expenses.
So I can just write whatever I want and it’s a viable business model? Sweet!
@Nick Tan okay I’ll bite. Can you provide an example of this new age marketing agency that has zero employees OR overhead? And yet makes a 97% profit margin?
I’m a freelancer, and even I have 1 employee (me) and at least 25% overhead. (Computers, insurance, internet, electricity, office space, working lunches, cell phone bill, electricity, Creative Cloud subscription, accountant fees, etc.)
The closest I can think of would be a SAAS, but those most definitely have employees and overhead. Can’t think of one that doesn’t have an internet bill to pay.
Maybe you’re describing subcontracting?
